CELEBRATING PPIE IN THE MIDLANDS

After two successful years of hosting our PPIE Event we were excited to bring it back for a third year, this year the event was focusing on celebrating PPIE.

Entitled, ‘Celebrating PPIE in the Midlands’, the event provided researchers with the opportunity to understand the impact that PPIE can have across the research infrastructure, from initial ideas through to grant submissions.

During the three-day conference, a variety of speakers talked on various aspects of PPIE including NIHR and a personal perspective on engagement, developing partnerships for inclusive research with communities, an overview and our patient and public involvement experience, embedding public involvement in funding applications and many more! There were also question and answer sessions at the end of each talk in order for attendees to be able to ask questions about the great work that is happening across the region!
