NIHR research achievements from last five years showcased in new document

Leading health research that has been conducted in the East Midlands over the last five years has been included in a National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) publication that was released in 2021.

Entitled ‘The legacy of CLAHRCs 2014-19 – 5 years of NIHR-funded applied health research’, the document highlights how the organisation’s research has enhanced the lives of people living with diabetes across the UK.

In addition, the report outlines the cost-effective strategies that were put in place between 2014 and 2019 to improve outcomes for those with the condition.

The document, which was published in July 2021, also includes real-life case studies, and addresses the key challenges related to health inequalities.
