Usually the conference is held in London, but this year it was held in the Midlands and it was a great success. 170 people attended, all with a common interest in biobanking.

It was great to hear from all of the speakers. Professor John Atherton, Pro Vice Chancellor and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of Nottingham started off proceedings, continuing on with talks from Brian Clark, Sr Director, Global Drug Discovery Operations and Business Support at Novo Nordisk, Amir Gander, Director of Tissue Access for Patient Benefit at UCL, Dr. Phil Quinlan, Director at the UKCRC Tissue Directory and Coordination Centre and many more.

It was a great opportunity for the MHA to be able to chat with individuals with common interests but also to educate people about the work we are doing and discuss potential new collaborations.
